What is it about?
Glucanases are enzymes in plants that act under various environmental stresses. Their involvement under metal stress has been shown for few only plant species. We study here the behavior of individual glucanase enzyme isoforms in different soybean varieties in presence of cadmium. We show that only some of the family members are activated as part of defense against cadmium toxicity.
