The vehicle – runway interaction phenomena establishes traffic safety conditions. In this paper we present a three-dimensional approach of the wheel - railway contact in case of load transfer and for a path with shortfall or with profile S78 super-elevation excess is analyzed.

Perspectives

The analysis developed in the present paper ensures the knowledge of the phenomena which occur in the contact area between the wheel and the railway and the effects they have on the safety of transportation.
