Why is it important?
Quantitative methods allow a more fine-grained analysis of the dimensions of linguistic constructions in which language contact might play a role. This article showcases the use of a statistical modeling technique which has proven its efficiency in areal linguistics studies and learner corpus research.
Perspectives
