The paper examines the evolution of the concept of hybrid conflict and presents the main ways of manifesting the hybrid warfare in the XXI century

Why is it important?
The hybrid conflict came to public attention with the Russian aggression on Crimea Peninsula and the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The paper addresses these issues and tries to identify the new forms of manifestation of the hybrid conflict, in times of relative peace, crisis or conflict.
Perspectives
The paper is a starting point in analyzing the evolution of the hybrid conflict to the forms we know today. It also identifies the main forms of manifestation of this type of conflict and identifies the main types of actors on the international scene who can resort to these types of action that is appropriate to the current security environment
