What is it about?
Chronic gastritis is a common disease in dogs. Although association between endoscopic and histopathological findings has been reported in human medicine, in veterinary medicine no reports concerning endoscopic and histopathological agreement in dogs with chronic gastritis are available. Despite of the recommendations to the contrary, taking histopathological biopsies in patients with uncomplicated gastritis have not been recommended in human medicine. Whether taking gastroduodenal biopsies in dogs with chronic idiopathic gastritis are necessary or not? The study presented here aimed to compare the endoscopic and histopathological agreement in dogs with chronic gastritis.
