Why is it important?
It is important to track pests wherever they exist, so we can have an idea about their activity and could possibly predict and block their spread to new areas.
Perspectives
It is so important to have a geographical distribution map for all important pests. This publication is one of the steps in that avenue. By doing so, we can have a sense of how important each pest is.
