Why is it important?

Both sexes of Overweight schoolchildren with Metabolic Syndrome who received daily supplementation with 2.4 g of ω-3 fatty acids for 1 month displayed improved lipid profiles, reduced fasting glucose levels and reduced blood pressure.

Perspectives

I hope this article helps other clinical researchers to manage the obesity in schoolchildren as we examined the intervention with ω-3 fatty acid supplementation successfully improved the lipid profiles and reduced the GLU levels and BP of OW children with MS but did not alter their weights.
