What is it about?

The integration of Big Data in health to develop predictive computational models plays a key role for modern personalized medicine. However, due to a lack of overarching strategies and methods the generation of new knowledge for medical benefits through computational models is lacking largely behind its full potential. In the current paper we discuss crucial requirements with respect to the development of data and model standards as well as data integration tasks in research and clinic, including ethical and legal aspects.
