Why is it important?

The survey provides evidence that the theme of Gog and Magog occurs in the output of a wide array of authors and often in ways which are disruptive of settled notions of reality.

Perspectives

For me it is a good example of a biblical trope which has slender beginnings as a hypotext but which flowers in its literary afterlife.
