What is it about?
In this paper, negative step tracer experiments were conducted with ozone as a tracer, and this aimed to establish a mathematical model for the ozonation of dimethyl phthalate (DMP) through the analysis of the mass transfer and reactions in a semi-batch bubble column reactor. After the mathematical model was eatablished, concentration of ozone and DMP in reactor were predicted as time increasing.

Why is it important?
Our study can provide a reference for how to eatablish a mathematical model to study the mass transfer efficiency and predict the removal rate of pollutants in ozonation in a column reactor.
Perspectives
I hope this article can give a little help for researchers who are interested in mathematical model establishment on ozonation of organic compounds in column reactor or others.
