What is it about?
Proposes a systematic underfrequency load shedding scheme which does not require the knowledge of system parameters such as inertia constant and sister damping, which is otherwise required for computing the amount of load to be shed.

Why is it important?
The under frequency scheme proposed in this paper does not require the prior knowledge of system paramers but determines the amount of load to be shed to bring the system frequency back to a acceptable preset value. Even without any communication, the proposed method can shed a percentage of the load uniformly throughout the system. The method is tested on systems with and without spinning reserve.
Perspectives
The paper proposes an underfrequency load shedding scheme. The novelty of the proposed scheme is that it does not require the knowledge of sytem parameters such as sysyem inertia and damping. Also the scheme does not require any communication.
