Why is it important?
Since this is the first long-term study related to tactical skills in soccer, it provides important insights for coaches to better develop training tools for players from different youth academies.
Perspectives
Based on the results of this study, it is expected a better comprehension of the development of expertise in soccer. In this sense, new studies are needed to complement the view in other ages and levels.
