Why is it important?

The interrelationships among motor coordination, body fat percentage and physical activity can form a sort of vicious circle, where adolescents with poor motor coordination may develop a negative engagement with physical activity consequently leading to an unhealthy increase of adipocytes. Therefore, understanding of how these interrelationships are underpinned in adolescents is a matter of public health.
