What is it about?
The question of tenderness, which at first glance does not seem to be a philosophical problem, actually represents an important connection between the sensible and the spiritual, the aesthetic and ethic reflection.

Why is it important?
No research is to be found on the problem of tenderness in Hegel's thought. Not only the famous criticism of Kant is questioned (too much tenderness for the world things!) but also occasional writings and secondary sources.
Perspectives
The issue of tenderness is still engaging in contemporary thought. Could we think, with or against Hegel, also a "tenderness of reason"?
