What is it about?

The paper is about innovation, knowledge and information management in supply chains. We find what information and knowledge management is mainly driven by. We show the similarities and differences in information and knowledge management between entities that use ICT outsourcing and those that do not. We discuss how this foster innovation in supply chains. We examined how approaches to managing information and knowledge in the supply chain differ according to ICT outsourcing which is another important issue.

Why is it important?

Supply chains have to compete in a very demanding and fast-changing environment. To do it successfully they need to be innovative, create knowledge and utilize information from inside and outside of supply chain processes.

Perspectives

I think this paper will help managers to develop a proper ICT system to create knowledge and Foster innovation, and will trigger follow-up research.
