Energy storage on IoT's. The projection is that batteries will not be necessary for energy storage for most IoT devices in 10-15 years. Energy harvesting and energy storage in ceramic capacitors will do the job.

Why is it important?
Based on current development trends and physical limits a time line has been created for when energy storage on IoT's using batteries is no longer necessary. This will reduce investment and maintenance costs related to usage of IoT's in all kind of automation and digitalisation solutions.
