What is it about?

Analyse the typical dynamical behavior of free-radical polymerization reactor where production of styrene is taking place. The stable and unstable characteristics of equilibrium points are explained in detail in the light of Routh-Hurwitz criteria and heat balance. Moreover, the given bifurcation diagrams allow predicting the abnormal behavior in the wide range of operating conditions.

Why is it important?

The free-radical polymerization systems play an important role in the production of polymer such as polystyrene, polymethymethacrylate, etc. The practical operation is quite difficult in practice due to the unexpected behavior and therefore, these dynamical analysis lay a solid foundation for control problem statement and optimization

Perspectives

Although the paper is not complicated, writing it is indeed a big challenge for me as a master student and finally, it has been accepted for publication as my award.
