What is it about?
We have manufactured two types of sensors for testing corrosion under the paint. One type is based on the electrochemical impedance and the other is based on the electrical resistance of the metal investigated. We compared functionality of both types for three different paint layers in the time course of 9 months. Three environments were tested: humid, salt and industrial-like (standard environmental chambers).

Why is it important?
It is one of a few rare papers dealing with electrical resistance sensors and their application and comparison to other types of sensors.
