What is it about?
How Faraday developed a methodology of teaching chemistry through popular science lectures at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, and also through one written work - his Chemical Manipulation (1828).

Why is it important?
It gives an insight into the little known pedagogic skills of one of the greatest scientists of all times. His example, in the author's opinion, is not followed in today's school chemistry programmes. The author suggests a radical reform of the way in which school science is taught.
