Colorimetric correcting for sample concentration in stool samples

What is it about?

Fecal hemoglobin tests and fecal calprotectin are used for screening colon cancer and monitoring intestinal inflammation. Studies have paid little attention to the variable stool composition. Assaying stercobilin allows to correct the data, which results in a better test interpretation.
