What is it about?

We compared results from 58 hospital laboratories participating in serum glucose external quality assessment schemes from both Labquality and Noklus. Data from surveys for one year were aggregated and grouped into four measurement procedures. Median percent bias per measurement procedure was calculated in each scheme. Results from the two providers showed different biases between measurement procedures and compared to the target value. This underlines the importance of using verified commutable materials and target values traceable to reference measurement procedures in schemes for assessment of metrological traceability.
