What is it about?

In the current era of precision/ personalized/ individualized medicine, metabolomics data sets from a single individual (n=1) is going to be a corner stone in health care in laboratory medicine practice. Beyond the realms of mass-spectometry for new born screening of those of Mendelian genetic disorders, advances and innovations in metabolomics hold promise for implementation in the near future. This opinion article discussed there opportunities and challenges.
