What is it about?
Our critical appraisal of Bragas and coll meta-analysis does not confirm the existence of independent associations between hyperuricemia and coronary risk. Results of that meta-analysis appear seriously distorted by bias due to confounding and the included trials were unable to demonstrate a dose-response relationship between the exposure and that endpoint.
