What is it about?

In this work, we analyzed the influence of several denoising methods on automatic analysis of OCT retina images. Since OCT images are very noisy, their denoising is a crucial step in the analysis of medical images. A Clear illustration of the retinal structures helps in diagnostics and treatment planning. The performed experiment suggests that wavelet-based methods allow for better automatic analysis of the diseased eyes.
