This article is about following questions. How much do medical students know about organ donation? Does their level of knowledge increase with medical education. are they being taught about organ donation in the medical curriculum?

Why is it important?

This article is important because it establishes the fact that more time needs to be allocated to teaching about organ donation in medical years. Medical students have a positive attitude towards organ donation, but their level of knowledge is inadequate.

Perspectives

Through this article authors want to appeal to all authorities who create medical currricula to include separate teaching hours for organ donation related lectures and practicals so that medical student leaving the campus to practice medicine outside is armed with knowledge about organ donation, brain death and related aspects
