What is it about?

This study describe how the Maximum Horizontal Distance (XMHD)Travelled by landfill leachate from Lapite Dumpsite in Ibadan, Southwestern Nigeria can be calculated from an equation that was generated from the graph of Lowest Resistivity and Horizontal distance.

Why is it important?

We are able to calculate the maximum horizontal distance travelled by landfill leachate on each side of a dumpsite. This can help to predict the extent to which landfill leachate has migrated to and that it can help to locate where boreholes and wells can be located if need be and be free from the effect of landfill leachate.
