What is it about?
Sample of lexicographical studies of terms found mostly in the Greek papyri, which can be explained as either calques from Egyptian, or typical of the vocabulary of Egyptian administration or culture. The discussion includes methodological questions about the sources we have for the lexical items discussed and the arguments that can be made to claim them as Egyptian when the lack of documentation from other areas does not provide enough grounds.
