What is it about?
In EM 60, Seneca quotes Sallust, but the structure and the main themes of the letter allude to Horace's Ep. 1.4 in a polemic way: Horace praises the Epicurean 'piggy' life against the sad mood of a somehow Stoic Tibullus, who despises his fortunes; Seneca blames the 'beastly' life of those who appreciate material aspects uch as health or wealth, those which our nurses wished for us.

Why is it important?
It is relevant that we find an example of multiple allusion techinique in a prose work; it shows how deep was the relationship between Seneca and Horace despite the low number of explicit references.
