Perspectives
Dealing with the circumstances of religious education in public schools in Germany is part of my professional work as Chief Officer for Religious Education in the Lutheran Church of Northern Germany. CoVid-19 and the situation of declined schoolwork led to a large loss of regular teaching, fostered by the argument of a prevalence of so called "Systemrelevanz" of subjects as languages, mathematics and similar "main subjects". It was my plan to bring both perspectives together, the practical urges of school organization as well as the needs of religious education especially in times like these.
