Ganztagsschulen und Sportvereine als außerschulische Partner

What is it about?

Anhand empirischer Daten zum organisationalem Verhalten von Ganztagsschulen und Sportvereinen wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche allgemeine Organisationstheorie Ansätze zur Erklärung von Kooperationen zwischen Ganztagsschulen und Sportvereinen bereitstellen kann. Nach der kriteriengestützten Identifikation erkenntnisträchtiger Organisationstheorien erfolgt eine explorative hypothesengeleitete empirische Prüfung der Transaktionskostentheorie, der Evolutionstheorie sowie der Theorie der Strukturation mit Längsschnittdaten aus Rheinland-Pfalz. Es zeigt sich, dass der Transaktionskostenansatz das Kooperationsverhalten von Sportvereinen, jedoch nicht von Ganztagsschulen, erklären kann. Die Evolutionstheorie leistet Beiträge zur Erklärung von Stabilität in der Population der Ganztagsschulen sowie zum Wandel bei einem Teil der Kooperationspartner. Das Kooperationsverhalten von Ganztagsschulen kann damit ebenso wie mit der Theorie der Strukturation nicht theoriekonform interpretiert werden. Based on empirical data of the organizational behaviour of all-day schools and sports clubs, we address the question which general organizational theories can provide approaches for explaining the co-operation. After a criterion-based identification of organizational theories, we carry out an explorative hypothesis-based empirical study of the transaction cost theory, the evolutionary theory and the theory of structuring using longitudinal data from the German state Rhineland-Palatinate. The transaction cost theory appears to be able to explain the cooperative behaviour of sports clubs, but not yet of all-day schools. The evolutionary theory contributes to the explanation of the stability in the population of all-day schools as well as of the change in some of the co-operation partners. The theory of structuring does not seem to be applicable. Thus, the cooperative behaviour of all-day schools cannot be interpreted in compliance with the theory of structuring and with the evolutionary theory.
