Why is it important?
To my knowledge, this is the first inter and transdisciplinary work that demonstrates that it is possible to create and generate meanings of a linguistic international relations theory in terms of abstract artwork. The paper destabilizes a common form of attack on Structural Realism and also adds meanings to Waltz's theory of international politics cast at system level.
Perspectives
The paper opens a semiotic perspective to interpret international relations theories. In fact my second work concentrates on Wendt's international relations theory of Constructivism and Pollock drip paintings by offering an interpretive account of that semiotic connection. Both papers constitute attempts to emancipate views on these two major theories of international relations.
