What is it about?

Who should be giving advice to government agencies and policy makers? Where should governmental bodies and representatives get their information so that they can make the best-informed and wisest decisions? This paper argues that scientists should not be on the list of advisers. Advising should not be in their job description. We need dedicated and independent entities for that supremely important job.
