The clicks and replies toward BBS posts represent the foci of on-line people. A post with high volume clicks or replies may indicate highlighted affair in reality. Theoretical modeling toward such kind of collective behaviors is to expose the dynamics of on-line opinions.

Why is it important?
Social media have already brought big changes toward normal living. More and more collective behaviors happened on-line generate more polarized situation or even further off-line real events . To depict the mechanism of the on-line collective behaviors will help to understand the normal process of on-line behaviors and help on-line and off-line intervention or relevant policy making.
Perspectives
We do not focus only on theoretical models. All studies conducted belong to the framework of so-called meta-synthesis systemic modeling toward societal complex problems. We collect data (by crawler) , develop models to analyze cleaned data from both behaviors and contents, from different visions, so as to provide support for decision makers. Currently we engage in opinion mining, opinion dynamics, on-line societal risk perception based on user generated contents from Internet in China.
