What is it about?

This work associates the neck circumference as an anthropometric parameter easy and accessible, with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in Mexican children and adolescents with obesity, we considered that neck circumference must be adjusted by gender and Tanner stage.

Why is it important?

Our work shows that although neck circumference could be associated with the presence of NAFLD, when is adjusted by gender and Tanner stage, only associates in pubertal males. In pubertal males, we propose cut off points according to Tanner stage
