What is it about?
This article explores the uses and updates of the ancient genre of satire in social networks. It analyzes the Spanish Twitter account Masa Enfurecida to discover how satire works, provokes and is contested in the Internet. Using this example, the article proposes a research model for humorous tweets and the reactions they get from Twitter users.

Perspectives
I hope that this article can contribute to the research of humorous conversation in the social networks as it proposes a model for analyzing tweets and chains of tweets. It also raises some questions about the impact of humorous controversies in the setting of the limits of humor in social networks that has led to changes in the legislation of public offenses in the Internet.
