Globalization and the influx of foreign capital have had a significant impact on the global economic, political, social, cultural and technological sector. This article examines whether there is a relationship between globalization, foreign capital and trade (exports) in ECOWAS. If so, what kind?

Why is it important?

Our find shows that the effect of globalization on trade is positive and significant. The results also indicate that globalization causes a surge in ECOWAS 'S exports. We also found that foreign direct investment inflow in ECOWAS affect the exports positively. Finally, exports in ECOWAS respond positively to shock in globalization and FDI.

Perspectives

Writing this paper was an immense pleasure. The collaboration with the co-authors was satisfactory. This analysis has been crucial for the simple reason that Africa, and in particular ECOWAS, is globalizing. It is essential to understand how globalization affects business activities with the outside world. We hope the readers will find this article interesting and stimulating.
