Reference ranges for ionized calcium in plasma in Danish children aged 0 days to 3 years using laboratory registry data

What is it about?

In newborns and young children, ionized calcium is often measured to assess calcium metabolism. However, there has been a lack of accurate reference intervals for this age group. We present detailed reference ranges based on a large real-world data set from Danish children aged 0-3 years.
