Evaluation of serum cortisol measurement by Ortho Vitro after stimulation by ACTH or insulin hypoglycaemia

What is it about?

Manufacturers and EQA schemes provide comparison of hormone measurements by different methods in the baseline state. This is not necessarily appropriate for stimulation tests when the mix of hormones in blood is different. This difference has been shown by many authors. This report has tried to address this factor for an assay method that has not been previously studied durung stimulation tests.
