What is it about?

In this study we report the detection of the eta variant in a mild-symptomatic case from Northern Italy (Novara province), highlighting how crucial appear to be tracking the spread of SARS-CoV-2 variants also in local settings to inform public health efforts and control the ongoing pandemic. Our findings reinforce how important appear to be speed up the immunization strategies in order to prevent the emergence of potential newly SARS‐CoV‐2 variants with possible implications for public health.
