What is it about?

Public health laboratories may have different risk priorities for pre-analytical process. Risk management based on predefined quality indicators can decrease the risk levels and increase quality indicator performance as evidence-based examples for continual improvement of the pre-analytical process. This study reports the experience of the use of quality indicators in the procedures of risk managent in compliance with the ISO 15189:2012 Standard and represents one of the few studies in which the risk management process has been conducted in its all phases, from risk identification to risk control.
