What is it about?

We designed a special mask to give people a fluctuating light and smell stimulus and measured the brain activity and psychological response. It caused lowered tension and anxiety and reduced depression related brain activity.

This paper outlines a possible new therapy for depression and anxiety that is drug-free, safe and easy to use.

Perspectives

I have been trying for many years to find a drug-free treatment for depression, one that has no side-effects and is easy to deliver and comply with. The next step is to try this therapy on clinically depressed subjects.
