What is it about?
This is an annual bibliography of articles about the acquisition, cataloguing, indexing, digitisation, use and preservation of printed and digital-born newspapers in academic and public libraries throughout the world namely from Germany, other European Countries, and the U.S.

Why is it important?
Newspapers are still one of the most difficult material to handle in libraries. Therefore the communication about this specific topic of needs and demands for newspapers in libraries is a very important issue for the community. This bibliography helps librarians to identify relevant information resources to solve their problems with newspapers or to support their work with newspapers.
Perspectives
As a long-standing active librarian in the world of newspapers, I am very pleased to continue this extraordinary bibliographic resource for research, once per year in the journal "Bibliothek. Forschung und Praxis.
