What is it about?
Diffusing capacity is a valuable test in the clinical practice. However, little is known about its technical quality grade when performed in children and young people and whether altitude above sea level would affect reference values. Herein, we describe that individuals aged 4-20 years old can complete high-quality DLCOsb tests. Besides, young people living at 2,240 m have a higher DLCOsb than do those living at sea level and we propose reference equations at moderate altitude.
