What is it about?

This is a case of a rare disease, called Erdheim- Chester histiocytosis, that presents with lung findings often seen with other pathologies. Discussion of different causes related to the main lung finding, thickened interstitium (a.k.a. interstitial septal thickening), is provided. A brief discussion on other than lung manifestations of the disease, prognosis, and general treatment options, as well as specific outcome related to the presented case are included.
