What is it about?

The influence of HR policies on work performance and the achievement of organizational goals are established in the literature and continues to gain importance. However, the key motivators for driving work performance amid exigencies by utilizing HR policies effectively for meeting the employees' expectations and organizational goals remain largely untapped. The study examines the key motivators of driving work performance during the COVID 19 crisis.

Why is it important?

This research is an attempt to sensitize the employers so that they are well prepared to bring out the best amid crisis like pandemic COVID 19. First, this study is to significantly contribute to previous research by investigating the influence of HR policies and organizational behavior namely compensation & benefits, work environment, flexible work practices, availability of tech tools, and communication competency of the leaders for achieving better productivity and meeting organizational goals during the pandemic COVID 19 crisis. Second, this study has contributed to examine if key motivators are a significant predictor of desired work performance among lower level and middle-level employees in a crisis situation.

Perspectives

This paper shall assist the employers to understand the changes to be made amid pandemic situations and respond appropriately to maintain their brand position in the market by being employee-friendly in the best possible way.
