Why is it important?
The article gives insights on the effects of prioritizing either of the two (soft or hard infrastructure) at the expense of the other as this will perpetuate the problems sought to be solved.
Perspectives
I hope this article will inform policy makers in setting their priorities correct and work on improving both hard and soft infrastructure at road entry point management systems if they are sincere about improving supply chains performances. Of late, most policy makers seem to be blinkered in favor of soft infrastructure of which the good of the soft infrastructure will be eroded by the negative effects of bad hard infrastructure.
