First set of innovations in PRC's Telecom industry

What is it about?

Traditional management of new product development is not suitable for innovating complex products and systems (CoPS). A research framework for evaluating a firm's competence to manage CoPS innovation is proposed that integrates 18 key elements of firm resources and capabilities. This research framework was tested in the five largest stored program control (SPC) switch manufacturing companies in China.

Why is it important?

This study makes substantial contributions to analyzing the management of CoPS innovation process in China's telecommunication switching industry, and gives valuable recommendations for other developing countries.
