What is it about?
The way that post-modern non-linear films not only propitiate repeated viewings, but also, in fact, require them in order to attain its full potential. The requirement for repeated viewing is inbuilt into the structure of the films themselves and are part of the film as such.

Why is it important?
The connection between the film itself, by way of its narrative structure, and the viewers' experience, which rests on the attainment of maximun pleasure through the decoding of mysteries and narrative complexities is shown to pertain to authorship rather than spectatorship. This is why such variant of complex narrative is, indeed, meta-narrative.
