What is it about?

This paper compares the suggested by the authors low-temperature firing technique for making investment casting shell molds with the basic technique for their production. Resting on the theoretical evaluation of the risks of making scrapped castings, one has revealed the fact of a rise in the crack resistance of shell molds produced with application of low-temperature firing technology. In recent years, traditional or basic technology of precision investment casting is subjected to a thorough inspection and reassessment. Primarily this is due to its high resource-intensive, serious obstacles to widespread use of current production. In this regard, the development of any interest to reduceenergy and material consumption process, ensuring its environmental safety and resource conservation in the implementation.
