What is it about?

A scheme for watermarking color images is proposed.

Why is it important?

The objective of this work is find suitable regions in the color image where watermark embedding can be done robustly and at the same time impact of embedding will remain imperceptible. A color image is embedded using an identification image with the sole intention of making the host image traceable.

Perspectives

Instead of global embedding, safer regions are selected for the watermark integration from the image. This ensures that the watermarking process do not make itself felt by way of visible distortions.
